Sage Green Pottery Jar with Pierced Floral Metal Lid – Handmade Wheel-Thrown Stoneware

A small, one-of-a-kind jar thrown by hand on the wheel and finished in a soft sage-green glaze. It's topped with a pierced, silver-tone metal lid covered in raised daisies, buds and leaves.

The glaze moves from warm green to cool blue-teal where it pools in the deep throwing rings that spiral around the outside, and the subtle texture of the clay shows through underneath. Inside, you can see the swirl of the wheel. Every piece comes out of the kiln a little different, so you'll receive the exact jar shown.

Ways to use it

• Potpourri jar: the open floral lid lets the scent through
• Flower frog: tuck short stems, dried flowers or herbs through the openings in the lid
• Trinket or vanity jar: rings, hair ties, cotton balls or small keepsakes
• Kitchen or table: the glaze is food safe, so the jar works as a salt cellar or for small snacks

Care

• Hand wash the jar in warm, soapy water and dry well.
• Hand wash the metal lid separately and dry it right away. It is not dishwasher or microwave safe.
• Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as moving it from hot water into cold.
