Welcome to Outer Reef Ceramics. This website is operated by Outer Reef Ceramics, a handmade pottery studio based in Idaho. Throughout these terms, “I,” “me,” and “my” refer to Outer Reef Ceramics. By visiting this site or buying from it, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Using this website
You may use this site to browse and buy pottery for personal use. You agree not to use the site for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with how it works, or to copy or misuse its content.

2. Handmade products
Every piece is made by hand, one at a time. Small variations in size, shape, glaze, color, carving, and speckling are a natural part of handmade pottery and are not defects. Colors may also look slightly different on different screens. Unless a listing says a piece is made to order, the piece you receive is the one shown in the photos.

3. Product information and care
I do my best to describe each piece accurately, including its size and whether it is food safe, dishwasher safe, or microwave safe. Please follow the care instructions on each listing and in the Care Guide. Use pieces only as described. I’m not responsible for damage caused by misuse, such as oven or stovetop use, or sudden temperature changes.

4. Prices and availability
All prices are in U.S. dollars. Prices and availability can change at any time without notice. Most pieces are one of a kind, so an item is not reserved until your order is complete. If an error in price or availability occurs, I may cancel the order and refund you in full.

5. Orders and payment
By placing an order, you confirm that the payment and shipping information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to use your payment method. Payments are processed securely through Shopify. I may refuse or cancel any order, for example if fraud is suspected, and will refund any payment received.

6. Custom and made-to-order pieces
Custom and personalized pieces are made just for you, so they can’t be returned. Turnaround times are estimates. Because these pieces are drawn and painted by hand, the finished piece may differ slightly from any sample photos or sketches.

7. Shipping
Shipping times, rates, and how I handle pieces damaged in transit are described in the Shipping Policy. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed, and I’m not responsible for carrier delays.

8. Returns and refunds
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, and the buyer pays return shipping. Full details are in the Refund Policy.

9. Designs, photos, and content
All designs, artwork, photos, and text on this site belong to Outer Reef Ceramics. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them for commercial purposes without my written permission. Buying a piece does not transfer the rights to its design.

10. Reviews and messages
If you send a review, photo, or message, you allow me to use it to run and promote the shop, for example by sharing a review on the website. Please don’t post anything unlawful, offensive, or untrue.

11. Links to other sites
This site may link to other websites, such as Instagram. I’m not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

12. Disclaimer
This site and its products are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, I make no warranties beyond what is stated in a product listing or in these terms.

13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Outer Reef Ceramics is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages related to your use of this site or its products. My total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the product involved.

14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States.

15. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when they are posted here, and continuing to use the site means you accept them.
