Plum & Midnight Blue Glazed Pottery Bowl

A small, one-of-a-kind bowl, thrown by hand on the wheel in my Idaho studio. Deep plum, midnight blue and soft blue-gray glazes drift and overlap across the inside in broad, brushy sweeps, with a glossy finish that catches the light. The outside carries the same plum and blue over gentle throwing rings.

It's a nice size for snacks, olives, a scoop of ice cream, or a spot on the dresser for keys, rings and little treasures.

Details

• Handmade and wheel-thrown, with throwing rings visible on the outside and foot
• About 5" across and about 2.25" tall
• Glazed inside and out
• Unglazed foot shows the warm tan clay and my maker's stamp
• One of a kind; the bowl you receive is the one shown

Because each piece is made by hand, small variations in glaze, shape and texture are part of its character.
