A small, one-of-a-kind lidded jar, thrown by hand on the wheel in my Idaho studio. Five hand-pressed leaf medallions circle the body, and a matching leaf forms the knob on the lid. The glaze breaks from soft oatmeal and lavender-gray into warm amber and honey wherever it pools around the leaves and rim, so the speckled clay body shows through in places.
It's the perfect size for the kitchen counter as a sugar bowl, salt cellar, or garlic keeper, or on a dresser for rings, trinkets, or tea bags.
